Trion still haven’t reversed the port change that blocked out a lot of people in the UK, the EU, and at universities…and now they just took the forums down for “maintenance”. Tch, why is it so hard to just communicate with your customers? People tend to be relatively nice if you just talk to them.
They actively use Facebook and Twitter for communication when their forums are down. They are also working on a work around for those people that are unable to connect on the P2P ports. I though it would have been pushed to beta already but I guess they are still working on it.
Sadly their work around involves opening an extra port. Fine for the universities, but no use to BT customers who can already connect, but suffer from stupid levels of latency… up to 17 seconds.
The work around was not perfect and their communication was a bit lost in the masses of posts on the forum but at least they stuck to the time frame they said they would.
Nooo! Don’t disabuse me of my current opinion that this makes them crap! j/k :)
