Well, I have a job, contract at first, then hopefully to permanent. I quoted them an extremely reasonable rate, only about £5k more than my rate at my last job, in order to have a chance to prove myself in my first full project manager position, and they were (obviously) very happy with it. I’ll re-negotiate if/when I go permanent, and in the interim I have the best of all worlds, working for a startup project that is backed by a very secure, established company.

This is a HUGE relief! We were reaching the point where we were going to have to live off credit cards, and I was going to have to sell my trailer. Disaster averted!
