…when you don’t have to do anything at all, just sit back and enjoy it.
At lunch I had gone out to the car to call someone from an employment agency back. As I came back into the building, who did I see stumping up to the door, dressed in a (very large) suit for interviewing? The woman whom I had been hired to replace as senior web developer on the site when the company decided to invest in a real site. Hahahaha…the timing is perfect. My “boss” is going to bring her in…so that she can have someone ignorant enough to not argue with her. Well, maybe they can trash Blue Martini and go back to a static FrontPage site, that would make everyone happy.
That was my happy thought for the day.
They deserve each other!
My old boss mailed me a couple of days ago to see if I wanted to come to the IT department Xmas dinner. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that the main reason I said yes is that I want to hear how badly things have been going since I escaped.
I can SO relate to that. ;) I was giggling to myself all day after seeing her, although I should be pissed off that the site is going to go to hell.
*sigh* I hate that company so much, it eats at me.
*sigh* I hate that company so much, it eats at me.
And that is the very best reason in the world to leave.
Shame we can’t really mention that in interviews and instead have to come up with crap like “I’m looking for new and exciting challenges.”
“So Mr Interviewee, why are you interested in this post?”
“Well, to be frank with you, it’s more a case of if I don’t leave now I’ll be flensing my present boss and dancing around the office wrapped in his skin, trying to call up demons to inflict my co-workers with pustulant boils ….”
