The thing about being truly happy is that it rarely lasts. For me, happiness is like having a wild animal come to your hand: it is hesitant and swift to take flight; you sit still and quiet, hoping to not frighten it off.
I’m happy today.

I’m happy too. I am really enjoying: making fires in the fireplace, watching my kids grow in wisdom (some days) and independence, a stable marriage, a good dog, good books and good wine. Happy, happy, happy.
Don’t you treasure the times when you feel that way? We all get so caught up in the daily grind and trauma that we hardly ever feel really joyful…and we should feel happy, about so much.
