“George W Bush gave one of the worst speeches of his life yesterday,” says the New York Times in an editorial.
“He advised the public that anybody who wanted to help should send cash, grinned, and promised that everything would work out in the end. And nothing about the president’s demeanour yesterday – which seemed casual to the point of carelessness – suggested that he understood the depth of the current crisis.”
Which is exactly the same as our observation when watching the grinning fool on TV last night…shifting his weight from foot to foot, glancing about the crowd to see who was lapping it up…
He’s an absolute idiot. I still can’t believe he got re-elected. And America is gonna be paying the price for that for a few more years, unless he falls over and exits this plane of existence (one can only hope). Even so, not sure that joker number 2 would be any better–just maybe smarter.
I notice that no-one has commented anything to dispute your post, either.
In the aftermath of 9/11, I remember saying that he looked like someone who had learned how to be human from a book, and was never sure that he was really “doing it right”. We’ll be paying for his administration for a lot longer than he’ll actually be in office…so much harm has been, and will be, done.
“Grinning chimp” was the actual description. ;)
How could any reasonable and rational person dispute it?
That’s the icing on the cake, his incredible stupidity seems to be blatantly obvious to every ‘thinker’ out there. I don’t mean to sound snobbish, or maybe I do, but really…the hardcore backbone of Bush’s support comes from the good ole boys…the same people who think the world is 4000 years old, that women should stay at home and breed, that rarely use a PC, and when they do are surprised at the amount of ‘foreigners’ on the internet…
