I’m supposed to be looking at coding a CMS this afternoon, I was all set to start it, and I was even slightly excited about starting it, but after a long shopping trip to Morrisons, Focus and Argos I am both rained-upon and not into working. I need to get back into doing some projects that I really enjoy, both art/photography and coding…otherwise I may as well start looking for another career. I am very disenchanted with my job.
I’m also restless and bored…I need to get a half-lease on another horse. It will be eight months or so before Kip can really get back into work. Three months total stall rest and then I’ll probably just turn him out for another six months to make sure that the break is entirely healed. I need to ride. That was my peace, my quiet place, my physical way of working off all the stress of my days at work. I miss riding.
I’ve been re-reading Charles de Lint’s The Onion Girl. I love his books. Those are the ones I killed myself to haul back from the States after my visit. Now to put up those bookshelves from Argos. :) I was trying to talk Phil into constructing built-in shelves for one of the upstairs rooms, but he was reluctant. If I tried to build shelves from scratch, they would be sad, broken things and I’d probably end up missing a finger or two. Plus I don’t want the rats to learn any more bad language than they already do.
*sigh* I have no ambition…
*hugs*
You need a Schipperke to walk and to cuddle with and to take pictures of and paint.
A goth princess bat creature to adore you, and vice versa. With a velvet fainting couch of her very own.
Much less expensive than another horse while Kip is healing.
I’m allergic to the first suggestion…guess it’ll have to be the second!
:P
They were the same reference, my dear.
How allergic are you?
Josh is allergic to everything – cats, dogs, dust, pollen, you-name-it – but he manages. Rachel has to wash her skin after rolling around playing with Jack or she gets all itchy. And she’s terribly allergic to cat fluff, but as long as she doesn’t rub kitty fur in her face, she doesn’t have too much trouble.
If I could find a way to teleport over I could build the shelves for you.. sadly.. technology has failed me….

Let’s put it this way – all Phil has to do is walk into the stableyard, not touch anything, not get close to any horses or hay, and he’s sneezing and covered in welts, just from whatever is loose in the air. :(
And I’d love a little black goth dog. You know that I consider dognapping yours every time I see her. ;)

Welts. Wow. Just from breathing. I give – he’s too allergic. Sorry, Phil.
Don’t they have shots for that?
