Very grey day today, with rain off and on. Unfriendly skies. We went out to the stables today, and I was quite excited to find no one in the arena. Five minutes in, and one of the girls came in and said that they would be having a lesson, so Kip and I left. :( I may have to move him – it would be ridiculous to pay this much and have to pay extra to use the arena at a reasonable hour (i.e., paying for a half hour or hour of private lesson time, only without the instructor).
Anyway, I will think about the future, and remember good things that have happened over the last year or two:
Getting married (finally!) and our shared stag night.
Both of us finally finding work – we were down to our last fiver, practically, when I found work!
Our first Christmas in the UK.
My birthday, when I had the chance to go hawking for the first time.
So much has happened, and I look forward to being able to experience more of the country that I have chosen to make my home in. I also look forward to having the chance to travel…there are so many places I want to go to. And a LOT of them are close, and cheap to travel to – it doesn’t get much better than that!
:)
You have done so much over the past few years, married moved to a foreign country found work in said country, done your house up beautifully, I think you are incredibly brave to start over…I hope that you get to travel, ride Kipper, enjoy the new job and have lots of fun in the years to come.
PS If you do decide to go to Wales and you like walking I have a great book on ancient walks in Wales…it focuses on ancient burial/worship sites.
Thank you. :) This will be a very good year to come for us all, I hope.
Ancient walks in Wales would be great – that’s exactly the kind of thing that I would like to do!
