I’m toying with the idea of just using WordPress for my portfolio site, rather than re-designing it and hosting it myself. It’s tempting, depending on how flexible the layout templates are. Aside from the photography and art galleries, and examples of multimedia work, the main thing that I would display from the homepage is the blog, anyway, so it makes sense.
For some time now I’ve been toying with doing a separate Flash/digital art gallery, an art site where everything moves, everything is interactive. WordPress doesn’t handle Flash well, so that would have to be a separate site, but it really wouldn’t be a problem to have it hosted separately.
Is this laziness, or just economy of effort? I can’t decide. :)
