I’m sitting here, upstairs at my computer, not working. I’m emailing, and reading people’s blogs, but not working. I’m preparing to get down to work, yeah, that’s what it is. :P
Phil just came up to bring me a drink and blow raspberries on my stomach. :)
Ok. Here I go. I’m really going to work now.
*sigh*
I blow rasperries on Sara’s stomach!
*Cough*
Get back to work you! *Wags finger*
Oi! Get to work you naughty girl, you!
*grin*

I can’t! Neener, neener! The suckass web hosting company that this client uses hasn’t set permissions correctly on the database, so I’ve been struggling with stupid errors. It’s a half-assed operation where you have to write or call tech support during normal business hours, you can’t set permissions yourself, and they don’t know what they’re doing.
I do realise that I have called someone both half-assed and a suckass and that doesn’t make much sense, but to hell with it. I’m calling it quits for the night. :)
Look at meeeee, I’m not working…I’m being baaaaad. :P :P :P
*bends over*

Nice icon, btw. I like that a LOT. :)
ooh .. you temptress you!
(what y’a up to weekend after next, as a matter of interest?)
actually, I’ve been supposedly working on some PHP/javascript code for the past four hours but instead keep watching some very good tv and eating bad things…
*giggles and blushes*
Awww.. gee.. thanks! :)
A Half arsed (on this side of the Atlantic) suckass company or person would be one which sucks ass, but really doesn’t put much effort in, surely?

my, my, my. whatever to do with you…
That’s it!!! That’s this company, exactly! They can’t even suck thoroughly, they have to do it in a half-hearted way, like everything else.
Weekend after next would be great, actually. :) Depending on who is travelling where, though. We’ll only be able to travel after the holidays, due to cash problems and a horse that needs to be fed and mucked. You’re very welcome here, we’ve got room. Let’s talk about it. *bounce*

oooh … must think about what my actual plans will be then.
Basically, I’ve an idea of coming up to Doncaster mid-week so) and stay with sweeties until some opint over the weekend … although (sfaict) you aren’t actually *near* South Yorkshire you are in a similar direction geographically-speaking as far as London in soncerned. What this means is that I could detour via wherever you are to say hello on my way heading back here.
Unlike previous trips I’ll be coming up on this one ‘solo’ so won’t be tied to specific dates / times / routes (nice though it is to have company – even if she does fall asleep and snore!) so a divertion wuold be interesting (so long as weather doesn’t turn bad, in which case I’ll either not come up at all or head home on the most direct route.
ps. sadly I too know all about “due to cash problems” situations…
lol…oh, so it wasn’t a serious offer then. *pouts*
Just kidding. :P I’ll email with mobile numbers and addresses, so you can have the freedom to decide then, depending on the weather, tiredness, etc. If not that weekend, then another. *s*
nope … it’s serious. I’m just being slightly reticent as over the years I have discovered that meeting people IRL who I’ve met on-line (LJ, MSN, IRC, whichever) isn’t always a successful event.
Some years back I travelled around the US for a month (Gainesville FLA, San Francisco, Seattle, Baltimore and New Jersey) visiting loads of people I worked with at or met via MSN, only two of whom I had had any off-line contact at all and that was minor. Got on *really well* with those on the east coast but less so with those on the west (though I think geography was a coincidence rather than the reason!) so now I try to not make assumptions about IRL meetings …
(ps. my contact details are in a friends-locked memories’ post)

lol..cash, what’s that?? I remember that – isn’t it the better bred cousin of ‘credit’??
Regardless of cash one way or another, I’m sure we could whip up something tasty in the kitchen if you happened by…
: )
That’s OK … I travel my own whips ;-)
Seriously, I was just teasing. I’ll mail you details, and we can meet sooner if it works out, or later if it doesn’t. I know how strange RL meetings can be. PS: I’m from the West Coast. lol…
