I couldn’t see Kip tonight. I tried, though…I just couldn’t find him. I stumbled through acres and acres of pitch-black pasture in the dark, hoping to find eyes reflecting back at me. And they were, just not his. :( The really scary part was the walk down the lane through the woods, with badgers and foxes and whatnot playing hide-and-seek or bumping uglies or whatever in the dark, making a HELL of a racket. Very spooky. I’m stumbling down the muddy, rutted lane in the dark, anemic flashlight in one hand, hearing thing crashing in the bushes on either side (badger? fox? serial killer/rapist? who knows?) when a fox frigging screamed right by me. Screamed and yodelled and made ooga-booga noises, the frigging little bastard, probably with all of his delinquent fox friends laughing their asses off in the bushes. “Man, you ROCK! Did you see how high she jumped?”
Bastards.
So, I have to figure out something to do about Kip, who may or may not be bleeding to death somewhere in the woods…I don’t know. :(
I have to admit, I laughed out loud reading this…I know it’s not really funny…but the mental picture is!
Sorry babe!
