Black Cat Day

Today was a fairly good day, over all. Even though at lunch a black cat crossed my path, came back and re-crossed it for luck, sat there and glared at me, and gave me the finger. Well, not the last part, but only because his paw wasn’t mobile enough.

Went out to the stable, and worked Kipper; I bought a hard hat and rode him for the first time – in the scary indoor arena, too! He’s such a sweetie.

Came home and called Phil, and his little barbie-doll assistant answered, which ruined my mood. I expected her to say “I’m sorry, my daddy isn’t in right now.” She was polite to me, though, which was a miracle – she’s usually incredibly rude to me. Must be satisfying knowing that a couple are breaking up over you. Ah, well, as they say around here “at least they won’t ruin another couple.”

All I want is out…AND for the holidays to be over.

Sounds bad. I hope it all works out for you.

I am NOT involved with her…I am so tired of saying it – I work with a woman, yes, I was jointly responsible for hiring her, yes – but out of 3 female applicants. She’s older than the people you work with, and I am NOT doing ANYTHING.

We’re not breaking up over her, you say we’re breaking up over what you imagine to be going on. I don’t go anywhere on my own, you and I email each other every 5 minutes at work…what am I supposed to be doing??

  3. Cats would SO flip you off if they could. You know they resent the heck out of our extra joints.
