Thank all relevant gods that the weekend is here. This was an exhausting week. I spent most of last week getting another 2,000 products built in. This was all agency product (not made by us), so pictures, weights, dimensions, etc., all had to be collected. Imagine a production line where we were photographing, weighing, writing copy for an unending line of product. God, I’m tired. But at least next week I can concentrate on my actual job, and start fixing some of the things against my name in the bug tracking system. (All defects/enhancements/etc. are entered and tracked against whoever’s responsibility it is to fix them.) There is so much to be done. So much that is broken or ugly.
On a somewhat brighter note, my boss has finally become aware of what a pain in the ass the copywriter is, and has asked me to document things in case he has to be fired.
An email went out on Friday, saying that all pay reviews are to be put off until the end of this year. They thanked us for all of our hard work and support, anyway. *sigh*
I stop by the pasture most days to make sure that Kip isn’t bleeding or limping, and that’s about it. He lost a shoe, so I wouldn’t be able to work him anyway until after Wednesday, when the farrier will be here. Not that I have the energy.
And I’m late. By about ten days. Test this weekend, and then doctor visit. I would ask what else could go wrong, but I wouldn’t want to tempt Fate…who doesn’t seem to like me much now, anyway.
At some point I suppose it all will become too much…until then, I guess we do what we can, and just roll with the punches.
