I just overheard the most delicious conversation between two elderly ladies:
“I just saw Margaret.”
“Oh, how is she? I haven’t seen her for ages.”
“Well, she’s been in hospital. She had a brain tumour and lost all of her confidence.”
lol…and so you would, I suppose.
Love it…
Humor is often a totlly appropriate response to serious illness. I know, I am a hospice volunteer and some of my clients are bust a gut funny. Thanks for the laugh.
ha. That sounds totally like a monty python skit. When I read it, I was using the screechy lady voices in my head, hehe. Reminded me of another skit with two ladies:
“Allo! ‘ow’s your day?”
“Ohh! I just spent 3 hours burying the cat!”
“3 hours to bury the cat?”
“Yes. yes. It wouldn’t stop wriggling about.”
“Oh, then it’s not dead yet.”
“No, but it’s not at all a well cat.”
heheh.
Hahahaha…
I don’t think she meant it to be funny…it was just a very odd thing to say. :)
Thank goodness for LJ…a way of “saving” things like this. :)
